Born in 1951, André Dubreuil, after a career as an antique dealer and decorative painter, became one of the leading figures of the new British design movement that emerged in the mid-1980s, along with Mark Brazier-Jones and Tom Dixon. He is one of the greatest French designers. He died in 2022.
